A Taste of Morocco
I traveled to Morocco in March of 2026. Over a 9-day period, I visited Casablanca, Fes, Rabat and Marrakech. It has long been atop my list of must-see locales. And it did not disappoint. The food, the sites, the people were exactly as advertised. And while the tour I was on was educational, I admit the primary reason I went was to take pictures. I even warned my fellow travelers that invariably I would be the one bringing up the rear. I implored them to be patient. Making photographs takes time. In all, I took well in excess of 3000 pictures. So understand that what follows is but a very small sampling of the many places and faces I encountered.
Morocco is one of the most charming lands I have ever visited.
Among the most memorable aspects of Morocco are the designs — colors, symmetry, balance. All the things I look for when composing a photograph. Needless to say, I felt very much at home in Morocco.
And yet the most remarkable part of Morocco is its people. And as one who leans into “street” photography, I was completely enamored with the clothes and the faces of the rich variety of what makes up the Moroccan people. Their images tell their stories.
